Ale-8-1 Soda Review

I recently came across a company that makes a soda that I have never tried.  I love to enjoy about one soda a day.  Ale-8-1 is a soda that is unique.  This is a light and crisp soda that is very refreshing.  This soda is a Kentucky favorite.  It has been around since 1926.  How do you pronounce the name?  It is pronounce "A Late One."  This soda was given this name because it was the newest thing.  What does Ale-8-1 taste like?  It is different than any soda that I have tried.  The soda combines fruit and ginger flavors to create a great beverage.  

Ale-8-1 is a product of the USA.  The soda comes in 12 oz. bottles.  I personally love drinking soda right from the bottle.  It seems to taste better to me than soda in a can.  Ale-8-1 is a caffeinated soda, but they do make a Diet version and a Diet Caffeine free variety.  The original version did not seem to be overloaded with caffeine though.  It actually has less caffeine than many soft drinks.  Ale-8-1 is available for purchase online too!  You can visit their website to learn more about how to try this refreshing soda!

Mega Mesh Magnetic Screen Door Review #magneticscreendoor

It has been years since our screen door worked right.  I honestly had given up on having a screen door on my back door.  Then I found out about Mega Mesh Premium Magnetic Screen Doors.  I knew this was something I wanted to try out.  I have seen these for some time, but just recently looked into them more.  This is a great replacement for a busted screen door, but it also has a variety of other uses and benefits.  It is so nice to have a screen door on my back door now!  It is hot here in Vegas, but as the weather cools down I like to keep the door open to get a little fresh air in my house.

The Mega Mesh Magnetic Screen Door is easy to install.  My husband was able to put up the door with ease.  It was really simple.  It is also pet friendly.  My cats don't mess with it at all.  If you have a dog that needs to go in and out the screen door can easily work for that too.  The screen door has hands free entry.  I go in and out to my backyard a ton of times when I am bbqing.  This is a really nice feature for that.  The design of this easy to use screen door comes with magnets sewn into it.  The product is made of lightweight mesh, but it seems very durable.  The door also comes with velcro in the seam.  I love that this door keeps bugs out, but you can still get a nice breeze of fresh air throughout your home.

Easy Snacks and Weeknight Meals with La Preferida - Back to School

We are so busy when school starts back up.  I really try to prep as much for snacks and meals while my kids are at school.  However, that isn't always possible.  I turn to quick and easy meal options when all else fails.  La Preferida offers a variety of delicious and easy products that make after school snacks easy, but also weeknight meals less stressful to prepare.  La Preferida offers canned beans, cheese sauce, salsa, tortillas, and much more.  

Easy Snacks

La Preferida products can be easily used for a quick and delicious after school snack.  My kids love nachos, and La Preferida nacho cheese sauce is so good.  This is so simple to prepare.  You simply open the can, and warm it.  My kids love both the nacho variety, but also the cheddar variety.  You can add some extra fun toppings to your nachos too by adding some refried beans, salsa, or jalepeno slices.  La Preferida's 6 inch flour tortillas are perfect for making snacks too!  You can use these to fill with your favorite meat.  Fry these us, and you have delicious flautas in minutes.  

Easy Weeknight Meals

Mexican food night is always a big hit in our house. My kids love making their own tacos and burritos.  La Preferida offers so many great items that make our Mexican food night easy.  I prep my taco or burrito meat earlier in the day.  I reheat it in the microwave.  I do the same thing with my Spanish rice.  La Preferida offers long grain rice that is perfect to use to create your own Spanish style rice.  I also make my rice ahead of time, so that it can be warmed at meal time.  We absolutely loved the La Preferida refried beans.  They have a really good authentic flavor.  They are perfect to add to your burrito, or to enjoy as a side.  You can get really creative with La Preferida's products and create your own fun meal!

I always make way too much food when we have Mexican food.  However, this works out well for me.  I end up making up extra burritos.  I freeze these.  They are great to have around for after school snacks, or I even send them with my husband for lunch at work.  This really saves me time too!

Great Reads from Disney - Review

I have another review for you featuring some more great books from Disney.  I always say how much I love their books.  My kids do too!  Why is that?  They offer a very extensive selection of books for all ages.  They offer books that appeal to boys and girls, but also all different reading levels.  I think finding a book that your child falls in love with is so important.

A Goofy Fairy Tale

Do you have a child that loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse?  This is a great read for any Micky Mouse Clubhouse fan!  This book features Goofy, of course.  He is always so fun, and silly.  The book is about how Goofy has made all the books in the library disappear.  He then has to go to the Land of Fairy Tales to find a special gold book!  This book is not only a really fun read for pre-school aged children, but it is also extra fun because it comes with over 90 fun stickers!  My daughter loves stickers.

The Enchanted Science Fair

This wonderful book features Sofia the First.  This pre-school aged book also comes with a great collection of stickers.  The book contains over 60 stickers.  The book is about an enchanted science fair.  The kids all want to win.  The book is a really cute story, but it also teaches the importance of friendship and teamwork.

Elsa's Gift

This is a great book for children that really love Frozen.  This is more than a book tough because it also includes a great app for your iPhone and iPad.  The book has really great illustrations throughout that feature the Frozen characters.  I love how colorful the pages are.  Elsa and Anna are throwing a ball, and Elsa wants to let everyone know how much she loves her sister.  The book is a great read, but it also teaches a great lesson.

My First Words

This is a book from the Disney Baby Collection.  This is a really great book for even the littlest ones.  This would make a great book for a baby shower too!  This book is a durable board book.  Each page contains pictures along with the word for the picture.  The book even introduces your child to some of the great characters from Disney.  I really like that it also teaches words, but also shapes, colors, and numbers too!
