The Mapmaker's Children by Sarah McCoy

Disclosure - free sample provided.

I am always looking for new books to read.  I was recently introduced to The Mapmaker's Children by Sarah McCoy.  Sarah McCoy is a New York bestselling author.  You may know her from some of her other books.  She is known for The Baker's Daughter, and The Time it Snowed in Puerto Rico.  The Mapmaker's Children was released on February the 9th.

The Mapmaker's Children is a great historical fiction read.  The book is about the daughter of an abolitionist.  She then uses her talent to create maps for the underground railroad.  The neat part about the story is that she hides the maps in paintings.  This book is also about a woman who has had trouble having children.  She then finds out that she is able to have children.

The Mapmaker's Children is an interesting read that takes you back in history.  This really is a heartwarming story.  You can learn more about the author here, or read more about the book here.

I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.

Monster Jam World Finals 2016 Review

Disclosure - free sample provided.

This is now the third year we have attended the Monster Jam World Finals.  We are always so excited to go to this event.  This is a family fun event in March that is held in Las Vegas.  This is a huge Monster Jam event.  It is absolutely amazing, and so much fun.

Each day starts off with a pit party.  We love the pit party.  There are so many trucks on display to look at.  This is a great way to see these trucks up close.  They truly are impressive.  They also have many drivers out at the pit party signing autographs.  We always go to the pit party before the event to have some fun.  The pit party ends with a truck parade.  The trucks drive by, and this really adds to the fun!

We went to the racing championship on Friday night.  This is where the top trucks complete for the championship.  This event is full of excitement.  We loved watching all of the trucks race down the dirt track.  This year we watched Morgan Kane take home the championship.  Morgan Kane was driving Grave Digger this year.  It was really neat to see all these trucks compete.

Do you have a favorite Monster Jam truck?  My daughter personally love Monster Mutt Dalmatian.  My son has always been a huge fan of Max-D.  This year we enjoyed some of the new trucks.  The Gas Monkey truck was really impressive.  I really liked the new Alien Invasion truck too.

The Monster Jam World Finals is something we look forward to every single year.  It is great for kids, but adults love it just as much.  This is really an event that is worth checking out if you love Monster Jam.  We are always impressed year after year.
