I am always looking for holiday gifts that are educational too.  I think it is great when you can find something that a child gets excited about, but also learns too.  I was recently introduced to Redan Publishing Inc.  This is a company that offers magazines for young readers.  They are themed with characters that they love.  The magazines are fun for them to read, but they also are loaded with fun activities.  My 8 year old sat down with these magazines for hours and enjoyed doing the activities throughout them.  The neat part is that while your child is having fun they are also reading.  I love it!

DUAL CROSS BUILDING SET K'NEX - Review

My 10 year old son loves to build with K'NEX.  He was really excited when the Dual Cross Building Set arrived.  This is a great toy that keeps your child busy building.  The neat part about this set is that they can play with it for hours after the set is built.  The Dual Cross Building Set is a kit that provides your child with all the pieces they need to create 6 different blasters.  

My son enjoyed building this set, and he was able to build it completely on his own.  My 10 year old found the instructions to be very easy to follow.  Your child can choose which blaster they want to create.  My son loves to run around with his blaster and play pretend with it.  The neat part about this set is that your child can also take the blaster apart and make a different one from the instructions provided.  The set also includes foam darts, so your child is ready to play as soon as they finish building.

K'NEX HOME DESIGNER BUILDING SET Review

We absolutely love K'NEX toys.  They keep my 8 and 10 year old busy for hours.  Do you have a child that loves to build and create?  K'NEX make a great holiday gift.  I love that these toys help your child learn how to follow simple instructions while they play too.  Did you know that K'NEX has a line of sets created with girls in mind?  This is also a great way to inspire girls that typically don't like to play with building toys to do so.  

My daughter has fallen in love with these new K'NEX sets.  The colors in the sets are geared more towards girls too.  This is so much fun.  The themes of the sets really appeal towards girls also.  We received the Home Designer Building Set from K'NEX.  My daughter will sit down for hours and play with this.  It was simple enough for her to create on her own.  She can now continue to play with it now that the set is completed too.  This set is part of the Mighty Makers line that features Brianna and  Sophia.  

This set really is adorable.  It retails for about $50, and it will make a great holiday gift for any little girl that loves to build.
