Bikee Balance Bike Review

My daughter is 5, but she is on the small side.  She still only weighs 30 lbs (just to give you an idea of how petite she is.)  She gets really frustrated with bikes and ride on toys because she's little and has a hard time pushing them or maneuvering them.  She isn't yet ready for a bike with pedals.

I found out about Bikee and thought this would be perfect for her.  Ok so what is a Bikee?  It is a balance bike that only weighs 7 lbs.  This is really light.  Many bikes are much heavier.  This makes it much easier for young children.  This is also a major bonus for me too.  I like that it is light and easy to lift and put in my car if we want to go to the park.  I love that Bikee has airless tires.  This is really neat.  You don't have to worry about ever having to put air in!

My daughter was so excited that she was able to ride the Bikee!  The Bikee is great for a child that wants to ride a bike, but isn't ready for a bike with pedals.  I love that the handlebars and seat on this can be adjusted to your child.  This bike is for a 2-5 year old.  I love the idea that it can grow with your child - as they grow.  This is nice because you know the Bikee will last them awhile. The Bikee balance bike has been safety tested, so I feel great having my daughter ride it!

Bikee has helped my daughter learn balance and coordination.  It has made riding easier for her.  She loves that she can keep up with my 7 year old now when she's riding.  Bikee is a great alternative to using training wheels.

Bikee doesn't have pedals, so your child simply balances and uses their feet to push off and go.  This is great for children as young as about 2.  My daughter was attempting to push with her feet on a regular bike at around 2 years old anyway.  The Bikee is low to the ground and I think that helps children feel safe while riding it.  I also love that there is less for her to get hurt on.  There are no pedals, so that means no chain.  I guess you can call me one of those paranoid mom's, but bike chains scare me with little ones.

You can purchase your own Bikee from their website for $69.99.  You have an option of 3 colors.  The color my daughter received is the green.  The Bikee comes in green, red and yellow.  What color do you like?

Is Bikee hard to assemble?  My husband had the Bikee put together really easily in a matter of 5 minutes.  It was very simple.  That is always a plus!

You can connect with Bikee on Facebook and Twitter.
