VeeV Acai Spirit Review

VeeV is a unique alcoholic beverage and I was so excited to try it!  It is the first Acai spirit.  So what is acai?  It is a berry that comes from Brazil.  It grows on palm trees.  It actually comes from the same type of tree that hearts of palm come from.  Pretty neat!  It is really good for you too.  Acai is full of vitamin E and vitamin C.  It is said to have more antioxidants than pomegranate.  Dr. Perricone says that acai is great to combat aging.  Pretty neat and what VeeV has done is used this amazing berry and made an alcoholic beverage out of it!

I was interested in how VeeV would taste.  I sampled it straight first because I really wanted to see what the flavor of the acai berry tasted like.  It is really good.  VeeV is a liqueur, so it does have some sweetness to it.  However, it is not overly sweet.  It has enough sugar in it to give it a good flavor.  I found VeeV to be very flavorful and smooth.  I also used it in a margarita and it gave it a hint of acai flavor.  I really liked it.  There are a number of fun cocktails that you can use VeeV in.  There are even recipes for cocktails on the VeeV website.  An Acai Cosmo sounds really good to me!  It is a delicious concoction of VeeV, Grand Marnier, Cranberry Juice and lime.  Yum!  What would you want to try it in?
