Having fun with K'nex Review

My 5 and 7 year old love to play with toys where they get to build things.  K'nex are great for that.  They can use the directions to build a set structure, but they can also use their imaginations to build anything they want.  We received a variety of fun K'nex toys to review.  

My 5 year old had a really easy time building the Grave Digger 30th Anniversary Building set.  She was able to do most of it on her own and was so excited when it was finished.  This is great for beginning builders.  It is simple enough for a child about 5 years old to do without too much help.  I love that she enjoyed building it, but didn't get frustrated.  She's also been having a ton of fun driving it around!  You can purchase your very own Grave Digger 30th Anniversary Building set directly from the K'nex website for $8.99.  This is a great interactive toy that has kept my daughter interested for hours.

We also received the Mario Vs Piranha Plant Building set.  My kids were so excited when we took this out of the box.  My kids absolutely love Mario, so K'nex couldn't have sent us a more appropriate set to try out.  This was a little more challenging to set up.  My husband assisted my son.  Once this was set up my kids had so much fun playing with it.  This is a really fun interactive toy.  I love that the kids get to build it, but then it has a battery operated car that runs through the track.  This has seriously held my kids interest.  They love playing with it.  This set is really neat because they have other Mario themed sets that you can connect to this one too.  I love the idea of building on to this and making a huge building set.  This is for ages 6 and up and can be purchased directly from the K'nex website for $29.99.

It just happens that we were watching the show Top Gear the day before the K'nex Top Gear Stigs Attack Copter/Off Roader Building Set arrived.  This set is one of my favorites.  My 7 year old loved it because he's really fond of the show.  If you aren't familiar with the show it's a BBC show.  The copter that is in this set is amazing.  I love that it comes with a launcher that really launches.  I love that within this one set it has more than one item in it to play with.  This is really great if you have more than one child and they don't always share too well.  This set is for ages 7 and up.  My 7 year old was able to put this together with a little bit of help from us.  This great building set retails for $29.99 and can be purchased right from the K'nex website.
