Our family loves brats and sausage. We eat them about once a week. We love to bbq them. I couldn't wait to try the Chicken Sausage from The Original Brat Hans. They offer a nice selection of all natural sausages. The Original Brat Hans are made by Coleman Natural Foods and are sold exclusively at Whole Foods.
I found a number of their great products to choose from when I went to Whole Foods over the weekend. I personally chose the Mild Italian Chicken Sausage. They offered a number of chicken sausage varieties. I love the idea of chicken sausage because it's much lower in fat. I was interested to see how I would like it because sometimes chicken sausage can have a different texture. The Original Brat Hans sausage I purchased is made with chicken that is antibiotic free. I also love that they don't use Nitrates, Nitrites or MSG. It is a healthy product that I feel good about giving to my family. The Original Brat Hans also offers pork sausage as well. I also love that the sausages I purchased are already cooked. I like this because then you just have to brown them up on the grill.
The Mild Italian Chicken Sausage from The Original Brat Hans was excellent. It was very flavorful. It is seasoned perfectly. It's not too salty either. I was really impressed with how well it was seasoned. I loved that it had real pieces of red and green pepper inside the sausage. This really made the flavor excellent. I really liked the texture of the chicken. I was expecting it to be more dry than a port sausage and it was not. It was very juicy. It's so easy to cook because it's precooked. I really like that you don't have to worry about whether it will be cooked through. These are definitely a new family favorite of ours. I can't wait to try some of the other delicious flavors they offer.
