RJ Balson & Son Butchers Review and Prize Pack #Giveaway 5/31 CLOSED

I recently found out about RJ Balson & Son Butchers and knew it was something I really wanted to try!  They offer some traditional Irish and British meats that are really good.  It's not always easy to find these at your local grocery store, so RJ Balson & Son Butchers is a great option.  You can have these traditional Irish and British items delivered right to your door.  

RJ Balson & Son Butchers began in England in 1535.  They are the oldest butcher shop in England!  They are well known for their specialty sausages.  They use natural ingredients in their products and you really can tell in the quality.  Their specialty meats have even won awards.  The products they offer are available in the US too!

RJ Balson & Son Butchers offers traditional Irish Bacon and also offers English Bangers.  This was the first time I had tried the Irish Bacon, but I have had English Bangers before.  The English Bangers are the best I have ever had!  I will tell you that this sausage is a bit different than your average sausage from the US.  The texture on the bangers is much finer and softer than what is typical for sausage in the US.  They are really good.  They are seasoned perfectly.  I like that these are not overly salty.  We chose to put these on the grill.  They came out great that way.  They are typically served a bit more brown than you would serve other sausages.  I received the regular size bangers and also the breakfast ones.  The difference in these is honestly the size.  I will say that I decided to use the breakfast size for my kiddos instead for dinner.  They thought they were delicious and they thought they were super cute too.  The breakfast size are great for children.  The Irish Bacon from RJ Balson & Son Butchers is so good!  I personally have never had bacon like this.  It is different from US bacon.  It is not as fatty and it has much more meat.  It is also different to cook too.  It is suggested to cook it on each side for about 30 seconds.  The Irish Bacon is softer in texture.  It reminds me more of a piece of ham that tastes like bacon.  It has a great flavor and isn't overly salty.  This is excellent bacon!

We really enjoyed all of the samples we received.  The products from RJ Balson & Son Butchers are excellent.  All of their products are available for purchase online.  They also offer free shipping in the US.  They also make some other varieties of sausage as well.  They also make a Garlic and Herb Sausage and a Tomato and Basil flavor.
