Buffalo Trace Bourbon Review

My husband and I really enjoy trying new alcoholic beverages once in awhile.  He is a big fan of bourbon.  We were both really excited to try the Buffalo Trace Bourbon that we received.  This is a 100% KY bourbon!  This bourbon comes from the Buffalo Trace Distillery and it is their flagship bourbon.  This bourbon has won awards.  It was a double gold medal winner in 2009 at the World Spirits Competition in San Francisco.  Wine Enthusiasts Magazine gave Buffalo Trace Bourbon a rating of 93.

When I received the package the first thing I thought was that I love the bottle.  I know some of you are saying that's silly, but I love the packaging.  We sampled the Buffalo Trace Bourbon and it is excellent.  It has a rich flavor and it's very smooth.  It's very full flavored.  It's a great bourbon that has even been featured in Whiskey Magazine.  Ok so how much is a bottle of Buffalo Trace?   I was shocked to find out that it's only $24.99 in most stores for a fifth.  I personally think that is an excellent price for an excellent bourbon.

Buffalo Trace Distillery makes a variety of other bourbons as well.  Some of them sound very interesting!  They even offer some that are aged for 18 years.  The location where the distillery is has been around since 1787.  This was not a modern distillery though.  A modern distillery was build there in 1857.  The distillery now is 119 acres and it includes 114 buildings.  The Buffalo Trace Distillery is the oldest distillery that has continued to operate continuously over time.

You can connect with the Buffalo Trace Distillery on Facebook to learn more.

  1. I will have to check it out. We just moved to KY and have been trying a variety of the bourbons around her. I hadn't heard of this one yet.
