Nueva Cocina makes excellent Latin food mixes. I consider these to be more of a gourmet Latin food mix because they are really good. Sometimes when I hear the word "mix" I think of something that is overly salty and not very good. I just want to say that the Nueva Cocina Latin food mixes truly impressed me. They are flavorful and not loaded with extra salt. Nueva Cocina offers rices mixes, seasoning mixes and soup mixes. I was thrilled to sample some of each of them.
I received the red beans and rice, black beans and rice and the Mexican rice mixes. They were all excellent. The flavors in these mixes are amazing. I love that they taste traditional and best of all they are so easy to make. My 5 year old is a huge fan of Mexican rice when we go to the restaurant. We previously have had no luck with the Mexican rice mixes from the store. She loved the Mexican rice from Nueva Cocina. She actually ate 3 servings she loved it so much. I also thought it was excellent. It was very flavorful, but it wasn't overly seasoned. It was perfect. They also offer more rice mixes not mentioned too!

I also received the Lentil Soup mix and this was really good. This mix is so easy and it makes a great lunch or easy dinner. It is very flavorful. I've actually never had Lentil Soup, so this was something new for me. I loved it. I would definitely make this again! The soup mix was excellent because most of all it doesn't taste like a mix. I love that the Nueva Cocina Lentil Soup mix tastes like home made. Nueva Cocina also offers two other soups mixes. They offer a White Bean Soup Mix and a Black Bean Soup Mix and more. They all sound really good too.
Nueva Cocina also offers some really great seasoning mixes that can be added to ground meat to make some really great tacos or burritos. They offer a Chipotle Taco, Picadillo and a Taco Fresco. I love that these taco mixes have an amazing flavor. They taste authentic and they are really easy to prepare. We tried the Picadillo and Taco Fresco varieties. My kids loved the Taco Fresco. This has a nice mild flavor that they loved. This was the first time for us to try a Picadillo style seasoning. It was really good. It is very flavorful and is seasoned with olives and raisins.
We were really impressed with all the mixes we received from Nueva Cocina to try. I love that they are very authentic tasting and 100% natural. They are a product that I really feel good about feeding my family. I love that the mixes are super easy to prepare too! If you want to purchase you own mixes they are available online.
