Where we live it gets so disgustingly hot outside we have to come up with indoor activities in the Summer too! We can't spend all day outside when it's 100 degrees plus out. Sometimes we end up having movie days and my kids love it. What kind of movies do you kids like to watch?
My kids received three great movies to review! They definitely entertained them and they really enjoyed them. The movies they received are all family friendly. They are movies that I feel good about letting my children watch. These are also great family friendly movies if you do a family movie nights. We like to have family movie night a few times a month!
I am going to start out talking about one of our new favorites. My Friend Bernard will be released this month. It will also be available at Target, Walmart, Redbox and on Amazon. My children fell in love with the main character in this movie. I did too. He's very likable. Sam is one of those children that is scared of everything. The animation in this film is really great and truly makes this film fun. Sam meets a man in the movie that helps him solve his problems. The man gives Sam a necklace that is magic. Sam meets Bernard. Bernard is the polar bear in the movie. He helps Sam get over what he is afraid of! My kids also love how the penguin in the movie too. One of their favorite parts was when Bernard tries to save the penguin. The movie is adorable. I won't tell you more because I don't want to ruin it for you.
Rock Stars is another great movie for little ones. This is absolutely a fun movie. My 5 and 7 year old really loved it. What made this movie so much fun? The music. This movie is about an earthworm that want to be a disco star. It is really a silly story, but it's great to see how they push for their dream. The music is really great in this movie. My kids loved it and so did I. The animation is also great and really makes the movie fun. We really enjoyed watching Barry (the earthworm) push to have a great dicso band. This is another movie that you can feel good about your little ones watching. I love that it teaches a lesson that if you push for what you believe in and work hard enough you can get to your dreams. This movie will be released in August of 2012 and will be available at Redbox, Target, Amazon and Walmart for purchase.
Lastly, I'm going to talk about another movie we received. I Heart Shakey is a great story. It's a heart warming story and it teaches an important lesson. I think it is a great family movie that teaches children (and adults) how important family truly is. Shakey is the dog of a single father and his daughter J.T. My daughter absolutely loves dogs and dog movies, so she loved this movie. She fell in love with Shakey! If you want watch I Heart Shakey it will be available at Redbox, Target, Amazon and Walmart.
