Mirassou 2011 Sunset Red

When I first tried Mirassou 2011 Sunset Red I was really impressed.  This is such a great wine.  It has great flavor and it's easy to drink.  The flavor is very unique too.  It is a red blend.  It is a blend of Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and Merlot.  The combination of the different grapes creates a great wine that is smooth.  The wine has a hint of fruitiness too.  It is great for pairing with a variety of foods.    I sampled this wine with my family at a dinner and everyone enjoyed it.  My sister and mom said that they really liked it too.  This is a great wine for entertaining.  It is very reasonably priced too.  It retails for about $12 a bottle.

Mirassou Winery has been in the wine making business for over 150 years.  I could definitely tell when I tasted the their 2011 Sunset Red.  They are actually one of America's oldest wine making families.  Pretty neat!  They offer wonderful wines and you really can tell they are made with great quality.  Mirassou Winery is located in California.  You can learn more about Mirassou Wines by visiting their website.  They also have a great section on their website that has some great Food and Wine Recipes you can check out.
