Ok, so I am in love with candy. I love chocolate and marshmallow, so when I found out about Valomilk I knew I had to try this amazing concoction. This candy is absolute heaven. The candy is made by the Sifers family and it began way back in 1903.
The Valomilk candy was actually created accident in 1931. Years ago vanilla flavoring had quite a bit of alcohol in it. The marshmallow that was made ended up runny and didn't get firm. Harry Sifers decided to dip the gooey marshmallow in chocolate and Valomilk began. They messed with the recipe some and Valmomilk was born. The company was sold in 1970 and then shut down in 1981. Russell Sifers decided to bring Valomilk back to the stores in 1987. I just don't know what I would do without these. This truly is a great family company. Today their son makes Valomilk just how they were made years ago.
Valomilk is a candy cup. It is milk chocolate on the outside. The inside is this gooey center. The center is amazing and it's like nothing I have ever had. The center is the most wonderful marshmallow ever. You bit into it and it's soft and just so yummy. I just don't know how I didn't know about this delicious candy before! My entire family loves Valomilk. I have shared some of my samples with friends and they are just in heaven when they try these! There is nothing like it! My 5 year old is not big on sweets. I thought I would put the Valomilk cups to the tests with her. I had her sample a Valomilk cup and she inhaled it. Most of the time she ends up throwing the candy I give her in the trash. I know strange, but with the Valomilk she loved it! I am so happy that I have found a candy that she truly loves. I really can see why she loves them too!
You will just have to try a Valomilk in order to experience this amazing treat! This is one of my new candy favorites. I keep telling everyone I know about these and sharing my samples because I feel that everyone I know needs to know how wonderful they are. I've never had these though I know of them from a catalog I used to get. Just went to Valomilk's web site - OMG - check out their recipes! Only have three but they look delicious!!

I learned The name VALOMILK DIP came from: V for real vanilla, ALO from marshmallow, MILK to describe it as creamy and DIP because it was hand dipped (hand made). The name for “The Original Flowing Center Candy Cup” was later shortened to VALOMILK.

ReplyDeleteI learned their “Creamy Flowing Center” is made from fresh corn syrup, pure cane sugar, distilled water, pan dried (hand made) egg whites, pure Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar and a touch of salt. Nothing artificial. No additives.
