Touch Math Review

Disclosure - free sample provided.

My son loves math, but for some reason he struggled towards the end of his 2nd grade year.  I knew that once Summer arrived that I would be looking for a way to cover the material he learned throughout the year, but introduce it in a different way.  I came across Touch Math and was really intrigued by the program.  Touch Math is something that can be used in schools, homeschooling, or just to help reinforce or help your child grasp something they are struggling with.

We received a 2nd grade Touch Math unit to review.  This is appropriate for 6 to 8 year old children.  I also have a daughter that just finished Kindergarten and she has been doing the unit along with my 8 year old.  The Touch Math unit comes with complete instructions on how to teach this to your child.  I love that it is easy to explain to them.  I did have to explain to both of my kids how the Touch Math works.  Each number has touch points on it.  This is a neat way that helps your child succeed.  I like that the worksheets are labeled.  This means that I know which ones I am supposed to teach to my children and which ones are supposed to be done independently.  I also received the Touch Math 2nd grade flip cards.  These are a great way to help your child get faster at their addition and subtraction.  I love that these sometimes make my kids figure out not just the answer to the problem, but one of the addends.  I think this is neat because it makes them think backwards too.  I know this is something that will help my children succeed in Math as we continue to cover more of it over the Summer.

We also received a copy of the Touch Math Tutor.  My 6 and 8 year old love using this to practice their math skills.  This is an easy to install computer program.  My kids love it because they said it's like a fun learning game.  The software helps reinforce what they have learned in a great interactive way.

These are just some of the great products that Touch Math offers.  You can visit their website to learn more. You can also connect with them on Facebook and Twitter.
