Smashburger Review - Las Vegas and Giveaway - 8 winners 9/20 CLOSED

My family is a huge fan of burgers and fries.  I was so excited to see that the Las Vegas area has a bunch of Smashburger locations popping up.  Have you tried Smashburger?  I have heard many great things about it and was excited to try it.  We went for dinner at the new location in the Las Vegas area.  There is now a Smashburger on Eastern and Ridgemar.  If you are in the area I suggest giving it a try!

What is a Smashburger?  It is a delicious burger made with quality ingredients.  They use fresh angus beef.  You really can tell the difference in the taste of the burger.  I even got to smash a burger in the kitchen.  This was really interesting and exciting.  I was so intrigued by the process.  It is actually an art to be able to smash a burger correctly.  I will say I think I did pretty good for my first time.  The process consists of a ball of fresh angus beef that is then smashed.  There is a special way that this must be done though.  The burger gets nice and crispy on one side and it forms a crust.  The burger is flipped.  The result is a flavorful and juicy patty.

The types of burgers that you can get at Smashburger range from simple hamburgers to more complex flavors.  My husband is more of a traditional kind of guy when it comes to his burger.  He ordered a bacon cheeseburger and loved it.  I ordered something a little more unique.  I opted for the truffle mushroom swiss.  This is an amazing burger that is loaded with flavor.  This Smashburger is a patty topped with truffle mayo, 

mushrooms and swiss cheese.  It was so good!  I would definitely order it again.  The burgers don't stop here though.  Some of the other bugers they offer include the avocado club, spicy baja, and more.  If you want something specific then they also have a create your own burger.

The menu doesn't just consist of hamburgers though at Smashburger.  The family friendly restaurant has chicken sandwiches too.  This is all white meat grilled chicken.  Some of the chicken sandwiches that are available include the classic, the Colorado and more.  Smashburger also offers salads as well.  These salads come with the option to add chicken too.  These sound perfect if you are in the mood for a lighter meal.

Let's talk sides and drinks now.  Smashburger has a nice selection of sides.  They don't just have regular fries, but they offer Smashfries, sweet potato fries, veggie frites and more.  They even offer fried onions called haystacks.  What side would you choose?  I honestly loved the veggie frites.  These are something very unique, but so good.  They are green beans and carrots that are flash fried.  My 6 year old loved these and also fell in love with the entire order of the fried pickles that she inhaled.  Smashburger has a variety of different beverage choices too.  We tried their delicious shakes.  My 6 and 8 year old chose the Oreo shake and loved it.  They didn't want to put it down.  I really liked my vanilla shake and my husband liked his butterfinger one.  All of the shakes are made with Haagen Daz ice cream too.
