I was so excited when I saw that a new water park was being build in my part of the Las Vegas Valley.  Cowabunga Bay opened in 2014 in Henderson, NV.  This really is a fun warm weather activity for all ages.  Cowabunga Bay Las Vegas has fun water activities for children, but adults too.  They have slides, a wave pool, kiddie area, and more.  They also offer a variety of concessions too!

Cowabunga Bay offers a variety of slides.  They offer slides that cater to the dare devil, but they also offer mellower slides too.  My son's favorite slide was the Zuma ZOOMA.  This is a fun and intense slide that launches you out of a capsule.  It really is cool!  My entire family loved the Rock-A-Hoola slide.  You can choose to ride this one by yourself, but they also offer rafts where you can ride with a partner.  This worked out perfect for my 7 year old.  We loved how the slide shoots you into a giant bowl and then you drop down into the remaining part of the ride.  These are just some of the fun slides that Cowabunga Bay Las Vegas offers.

Cowabunga Bay Las Vegas also offers a special area that is geared towards younger children.  This is really great for the little ones.  They have some small slides and shallow water for them to play.  They also have a shaded area in the water.  I thought this was really neat.  Cowabunga Bay also has a really great wave pool.  The Surf-a-Rama wave pool is a great place to cool off.  I was impressed with the size of the waves, and my kids had a blast riding them.  The Boardwalk Bay is a river that has a nice gentle current.  This is a mellow activity that is perfect for relaxing in the sun.  I personally love that Cowabunga Bay offers free tubes to use in the Boardwalk Bay and Surf-a-Rama wave pool. These are available on a first come first serve basis, but we had no problem finding some tubes to use.  They also offer life vests for weak swimmers at no charge.  This is important if you have little ones.

Cowabunga Bay's staff was extremely nice and friendly.  The concession stands were easy to access and the lines moved quickly.  They also offer locker rentals starting at $8.  The locker can be opened and closed as many times as you want for the fee.  This makes it really easy to keep your items safe while visiting the park.
