Melissa's Product - Review

I am so happy to be featuring Melissa's Produce on my blog.  They offer amazingly fresh produce.  You can find many of their products at your local grocery store.  If there is something specific you are looking for and can't find at your local store, you can always order directly from their website and have it shipped right to your home.

I was recently sent some samples of a neat product from Melissa's.  They offer a variety of ready to eat products that you can simply warm and serve.  How easy is that when you get home from work and want to make a simple side, or veggie?  The best part is that these are shelf stable and they do not need to go into your fridge.  I sampled Melissa's ready to eat golden beets, Pariesienne potatoes, and lentils.  We loved them all.  These are pre cooked items that you can either use with the recipe on the back, or you can create your own recipe.  My 11 and 13 year old loved the simple recipe on the back of the Pariesienne potatoes.  These are pre cooked potatoes.  The recipe on the back of the package was quick, and delicious.  I love making wholesome and healthy sides that I can put together quickly when I get home from a long day at work.  I love beets on a salad.  The golden beets were not only pretty, but had a fresh taste that is so much better than canned beets!

Melissa's also sent me some of their Clean Snax.  This is a great healthy snack when you are on the go, or in a hurry.  My kids even enjoyed these, and I felt good about them eating them.  These are made with chia and flaxseed.  These are crunchy snack squares.  I found that they really feel you up, and they are a much better snacking alternative to chips and junkfood.  They offer sweet and savory varieties of these snacks.  My personal favorite was the South West flavor.  I absolutely love super spicy food, and these had a great amount of heat, but also a hint of sweetness.  We really enjoyed the matcha flavor.
