Rancho Zabaco Zinfandel Review

Many of you might think of the pink colored wine when you hear the word Zin.  However, a Zinfandel is a red wine.  The pink variety is a White Zinfandel.  Rancho Zabaco Winery is an expert when it comes to Zinfandel.  I have tried a few of their Zins and have loved every single one of them.  The grapes used in the Rancho Zabaco Zinfandels are from Sonoma County.  It is said that the area has the best growing conditions for these grapes.

Rancho Zabaco offers a selection of world class Zins.  I want to introduce you to their Somoma Heritage Vines Zinfandel.  This is a dry red wine.  It has hints of fruitiness in it.  The wine is full of flavor, but very smooth.  The wine is made with only Zinfandel grapes.  I really enjoyed this wine.  This is a great wine to pair with red meats.  I personally love this as an alternative to other reds.  This is an excellent wine to try out if you typically enjoy wines like Cabs, Pinot Noirs, or Merlots.  This bottle retails for about $15.

I received a beautiful necklace from the Class Act Collection.  I received a 3 tiered necklace.  The necklace is in rose gold and has different sized pearls throughout it.  Although this is a large necklace, I love that each strand has a delicate look.  This is a really beautiful necklace.  I love the layering.  It really looks great with a dress, or even dresses up just a simple top.  The necklace is really impressive.

Papa Murphy's Behind the Scenes Tour - Review #PapaMurphysMoms

I love being a Papa Murphy's Mom.  This has allowed me to gain more info about Papa Murphy's, but it also has given me the chance to try some of their amazing items that I haven't tried before.  My family loves their pizza.  Have you tried Papa Murphy's Pizza?  This is take and bake pizza.  It is put together in the store with super fresh ingredients.  You take the pizza home, and then cook it in your oven.  It is a great concept!  

I was recently given the opportunity to visit a local store in the Las Vegas area to go behind the scenes and see how everything is done.  Mike from the North Las Vegas location on Losee was kind enough to host this for a few of us Vegas bloggers.  I was truly impressed with everything I learned.  Mike is very passionate about what he does.  I truly understand why!  His store is creating a high quality product that tastes great.

Papa Murphys stores are franchises.  What does this mean to you?  This means that you can go to any location and their pizza is made fresh and the same way at each location.  Papa Murphy's offers pizza, salads, desserts, and more.  I have been impressed with every item that I have ordered from Papa Murphy's.

I went behind the scenes at the Losee location in North Las Vegas.  The owner explained to us that the cheese is shredded fresh in store, the dough is made right there, and the fresh veggies are chopped there too.  I got to see them mix up a big batch of dough.  This was really impressive too.  Everything that they do has specific quality control instructions.  This is to make sure that it is done right every single time.  I also got to watch them shred giant blocks of cheese.  They chop their super fresh tomatoes in the neatest device I have ever seen!  

I was then given the opportunity to create my own pizza to take home.  I made a half pepperoni and half sausage pizza.  I learned that a normal large pepperoni has 60 slices of pepperoni on it.  My half pepperoni had 30 slices on the pepperoni side.  Everything from the sauce to the cheese is measured or weighed out to create the best quality product.  The last step to finishing your pizza it topping it with a provolone and cheddar blend, and wrapping it up.  

I took my pizza home and baked it for my family that evening.  They loved it!

Cafe Zupas Opens May 23rd in Henderson NV - Preview Dinner Review #czsouperfan

I have been so lucky to attend a few Cafe Zupas preview dinners before they have opened here in the Vegas area.  I was so excited to see that one was opening up in the Henderson, NV area.  Did you know that they have one right on Sunset and Stephanie?  I couldn't be more pleased because this is only 5 minutes away from me!  I was given the opportunity to attend a preview dinner at the new Cafe Zupas location.  My entire family was very excited because they love Cafe Zupas.

Have you been to a Cafe Zupas?  They offer fresh soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts.  I love their menu.  They have a nice variety of items.  Their service was fast at our preview dinner and the food was excellent.  They also offer great options for kids too.  Meals come with chocolate covered strawberries.  You cannot go wrong with that!  

I ordered the BBQ Pulled pork.  This is a great pulled pork sandwich.  I really like that it is not dripping in sauce and that the sauce is not overly sweet.  The slow roasted pork is topped with a red cabbage slaw.  This adds great texture to the sandwich.  The sandwich also has a honey mustard sauce that adds a little zip to it.  I also had to try the Wild Mushroom Bisque.  My dad actually visits the Eastern location and this is his favorite.  This soup was so good.  It is definitely for the mushroom lover.  It is in a creamy soup that is really flavorful.  

My husband ordered the Tomato Basil Soup.  He really liked it too.  I had to try it and thought it had a great flavor from the basil in it.  He also had the Italian Club.  This is a really neat sandwich.  It kind of combines the idea of an Italian sub with a club.  Everything on the sandwich was amazingly fresh.  My kids also enjoyed their meals.  The kids chicken strips are always a hit in our house.  These are baked chicken strips too.  My daughter always has to get a the Yucatan Chicken Tortilla Soup to go with it.  This is her favorite and she gets it every single time we go to Cafe Zupas.  

The menu does not stop there though.  They also offer really tasty desserts at Cafe Zupas.  They offer brownies, creme brulees, and cakes.  I fell in love with their Creme Brulee Cheesecake.  This is a super creamy and delicious cheesecake that was excellent.  Cafe Zupas also has flavored syrups that you can add to your soda to make them a little more fun.  I am always impressed by their hot sauce selection too.  I am a hot sauce addict and love checking out the unique varieties of hot sauce they have available to try.

Ozeri Electric Wine Opener Review

I love to have a little wine in the evening after the kids go to bed.  I often struggle to open my wine with just a regular opener.  The openers get bent, or they just don't work.  My husband has been telling me that it would be worth it to invest in a high quality one.  I was so excited when I was given the opportunity to do a review of Ozeri's Extravo Electric Wine opener.  This is what I would say a very high end wine opener.  I truly have not seen anything out their like it.  It works wonderfully too!  That is ultimately the most important part.

The wine opener looks great sitting on your counter or bar top too.  The electric wine opener comes with a base that you can sit it on.  The base also functions as a device to cut the foil off the top of the bottle with ease.  The wine opener comes in with a charger that simply plugs in.  The wine opener is very simple to operate.  You simply place the wine opener on the top of the bottle.  You hold it down firmly and push the and the wine opener starts working automatically.  The wine opener screws into the cork.  You then lift it off and it spins and releases the cork.  It truly is very neat and a product that I am thankful to have in my kitchen.  It removes the cork easily and you don't have to fight to get your favorite bottle of wine open.  This is really a great item if you are a wine lover.  It would also make a fun gift for any wine drinker.
