Children's Book Review - the House that wanted a Family

My kids and I love to read.  We try and do story time every night.  We get really excited when we find great new books to add to our favorites.  That is exactly what "the House that wanted a Family" is.  It is a great book that kids will love.  My 5 and 7 year old both really enjoyed the great story.

Susan Spence Daniel is the author and illustrator of "the House that wanted a Family."  She has written a number of books and this is the first one to be published.  She is from Wisconsin and a mother herself.  She did a great job on this book.  The book is really unique in that it was written from the point of view of a house.  How you might say?  Well the house is obviously lonely because it's for sale!

The story consists of the house and all the different people that come to look at it while it is for sale.  It talks about how the house feels as different people come into it.  The house waits and waits and waits. . . . Then it finally has a family that decides to move into it.  The story is heartwarming and happy because the house is happy to have a family!  The story is adorable.  I won't tell you more about it because I don't want to ruin the entire book for you either.

You can purchase "the House that wanted a Family" for $13.99.  It is also available in e-book format for $3.99.
