Olde Westport Spice and Trading Co. Review

I absolutely love to cook, and try new dishes.  I love products that make cooking fun, but also easy.  Olde Westport Spice and Trading Co. offers a great selection of products that are perfect for any foodie.  They offer cookbooks.  These always make really nice gifts.  They offer salsa cookbooks, Cajun cookbooks, beef cookbooks, and so much more.  I really enjoyed browsing the great selection of cookbooks that they offer.

Olde Westport offers some great seasonings and spices.  I received some of these to try out.  Their mesquite seasoning is great if you love to grill.  This flavorful seasoning is great to sprinkle on meats or veggies before you put them on the grill.  This gave our food a smokey flavor, but it wasn't overpowering.  This would even be great to season a pork roast with.  You can get that smokey flavor, but still not have to cook it outdoors.  I like to cook things in the crockpot during the week, and I am definitely going to do this.  We really loved the Gold Coast Garlic Shake too.  This is a great all purpose seasoning.  It can be used to create a flavorful dip.  It can be used on meats and veggies too.  We really enjoyed it as a dip!

Olde Westport also offers a great selection of mixes to help you create quick and delicious meals.  They offer a Chicken Enchilada Soup mix.  This is so easy to use and it tastes great.  I like this for a quick weeknight meal.  You simply add chicken, cream of chicken soup, water, and the mix.  The soup is flavorful, and great on a cold day.  

Olde Westport offers some great chili seasoning mixes too.  Their Championship Chili Spice blend includes all the flavorings for that perfect bowl of red chili.  The mix is easy to prepare too.  you add meat, tomato sauce, water, and the spice mix.  This is another meal that is quick and delicious.  I love green chili, but haven't had luck making it until now.  Olde Westport also offers a Three Rivers Chili Verde mix!  This mix is combined with cream of chicken soup, corn, chicken, evaporated milk, canned green chili peppers, and the seasoning mix.  You add this to your sauce pan and simmer for only 15 minutes.  I might even do this in my crockpot, so it is ready when we get home in the evening.
