Brain Freeze Journal - Review

Disclosure - free sample provided.

This is the cutest little journal.  It is perfect for the Summer weather.  It makes a great gift for a young girl.  It would even make a really cute gift for a teacher at the end of the year.  This journal looks just like a neopolatin ice cream sandwich.  We were really impressed with how the outside of the journal looks just like the cookie part of an ice cream sandwich.  The cookie type cover is kind of squishy too.  My 9 year old loves using this journal to write in.  I am honestly a little jealous that she confiscated it right away to use.  This little journal will put a smile on just about anyone's face that receives it.

The Brain Freeze Journal retails for about $16.99.  You can learn more about it here, or find out how to even your very own.

I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.

The Thank You Book - Review

Disclosure - free sample provided.

I honestly fell in love with the book the minute I picked it up.  It is adorable.  It is fun, and well written.  This is the 25th and final book in Mo Willems series.  Has your child read any of the Elephant and Piggie books in the series?  They really are a great read for early readers.

Mo Willems is a New York times best selling author and illustrator.  He is also a Caldecott award winner.  Did you know that he started out as an writer and animator on Sesame Street?  His work really is ipressive.

The Thank You Book is great for young readers because it includes simple words.  It also has tons of colorful pictures.  This is a great book to read to toddlers and pre-school aged children.  The best part about this book is that it  teaches young children the importance of manners.  It teaches them the importance of using the words, "thank you."

Summer Reading - Camp Rolling Hills

Disclosure - free sample provided.

Are your kids ready for Summer vacation?  Are they going to camp this year?  Mine are ready for vacation and Summer camp.  Camp Rolling Hills is book series that is great for children that are getting ready to go to Summer camp.  This series is perfect for first time campers. This series is written by Stacy Davidowitz.

I am also always looking for great books for my kids to read over the Summer.  This series is perfect because it is Summertime themed.  I would suggest this series for children that are at about 3rd grade reading level and up.  My daughter is getting ready to finish 3rd grade and this book is the perfect level for her.

Camp Rolling Hills - Book 1
The first book in this series is all about Stephanie.  She is very excited to head back to Summer camp this year.  This book follows Stephanie and all her adventures at camp.  The author does a great job entertaining young readers with the different events throughout the story.  She also adds humor to her writing, and it really makes it easy for young readers to get into this cute series.

Camp Rolling Hills - Book 2
Crossing Over is the second book in the Camp Rolling Hills series.  This book follows Melman on her adventures at camp rolling hills.  She is excited to return to Camp Rolling Hills.  Melman is also a big fan of everything pink.  This book also follows Steinberg.  Steinberg has a hard beginning to his Summer.  This book is a fun read too.

What are your children planning on reading this Summer?  Feel free to leave a comment with some of the books that are on their Summer reading list that they can't wait to read.
