Del Real Foods - Tamale Review

Are you a huge fan of Mexican food?  I am.  I love great Mexican food.  I have been a huge fan of Del Real Foods for some time.  They offer a great selection of already prepared Mexican food items that you simply heat and eat.  This is a great option if you want a fast dinner.  The best part is that their food is delicious and has an authentic taste.  

Del Real offers salsas, meats, and sides.  They also offer tamales.  Their tamales are so good.  I was seriously impressed by them. The masa is flavorful and tender.  They are filled with a generous amount of meat too.  I tried the Tamales de Pollo en Salsa Roja.  My daughter and I enjoyed these for a quick and easy lunch.  We simply warmed them in the microwave for an easy meal. 

Deal Real offers their tamales in other varieties too.  They also offer beef tamales, and chicken in green sauce too!  Which variety would you want to try?

Tamales are a comfort food for me.  It is so nice to be able to pick these up at the grocery store and still have that real homemade flavor.  The neat thing is that the wrapper on their tamales is now made out of sustainable materials.

Melissa's Produce - Hatch Chile Season Is Here! - Review

Do you love chile peppers?  I am a big fan.  I like both hot and mild.  It is currently Hatch Chile season!  Have you ever tried these?  They are a flavorful chile that is offered in both a mild or hot variety.  They are great in so  many dishes.  They are great in salsas, soups, stews, and much more.  Have you ever tried hatch chile peppers?  Melissa's offers great fresh hatch chile peppers that you can order and have delivered right to your door.  

I was excited to find out this year that Melissa's is offering an even bigger selection of hatch chile products.  These are great tasty items that incorporate the amazing flavor of hatch chiles into them.  I received some of these tasty hatch chile items from Melissa's Produce to try out.

Hatch chile powders and dried peppers 

Hatch peppers are only available a certain time during the year.  The hatch chile powders and dried peppers are a great way to enjoy hatch chiles year round.  The powders are a great addition to so many dishes.  It's a great way to add lots of flavor to a meal without fat too.  The chile powders are tasty on roasted veggies, and used in a big pot of chili.  I used the dried chile peppers to make my own enchilada sauce.  The hatch peppers gave the enchilada sauce an amazing flavor.  It was honestly the best enchilada sauce that I have had.

Hatch Popcorn and Pecans

Melissa's also offers hatch popcorn.  They offer a regular one, and a kettle style.  Both have a little bit of zip from the chile pepper that is dusted all over the popcorn.  The popcorn is excellent.   I like that the chile isn't over done, and you can still taste the flavor of the popcorn too.  This makes a great anytime snack.

I found myself addicted to the hatch chile pecans.  I was sent a red and a green hatch variety.  Both were loaded with hatch flavor.  The pecans were coated in tasty hatch chile powder.  I fell in love with the green ones because they are a little bit spicier than the red.  What variety would you want to try?

Hatch Chile Salsa and Hatch Red and Green Blend

The Hatch Chile Salsa was a favorite in my house.  It is a great addition to any Mexican style dish.  It's also tasty on eggs.  It has a great flavor that adds a bit of spice to any dish.  I also really enjoyed the jar of red and green hatch chiles.  These have a great roasted flavor.  I added them to my quesadillas, mixed them into scrambled eggs, and topped just about everything with them.

Heliocare Review

Do you have a hard time in the Summer finding a way to protect your skin from the sun?   I definitely do.  I am very fair and have freckles.  I usually apply sunblock every 30 to 60 minutes. I've even found that I burn in the sun with doing that.  I have to go to the dermatologist every few months to have the sun damage frozen off.  It's hard because I still want to enjoy outdoor activities with my family.  I am so sensitive to the sun.  

I was introduced to Heliocare a little over a year ago.  My dermatologist actually suggested using it along with sunblock. I have personally found that it gives me extra protection from the sun.  I have found that when I take Heliocare and use sunblock I very rarely burn.  I honestly take it anytime I am going to be out in the sun during the horrid Vegas Summers.  I've found that I can actually sit at the pool for longer and enjoy myself.  This combined with regular application of sunblock has really helped my skin.  I've used this when camping and fishing as a way to add extra protection to my skin.  I love it.

Melissa's Produce - Deluxe Pantry Box Review

I have tried to keep a variety of pantry staples on hand over the last few months.  It makes it so much easier when I want to prepare meals.  I like to keep items that are easy to serve, and I know I will use.  Do you have some favorite pantry staples? 

I was recently sent a Deluxe Pantry Box from Melissa's Produce.  This is a great box of great pantry items.  They also offer a Pantry Essential Box and a Standard Pantry Box.  These are all great ways to fill your pantry with great food.

The Deluxe Pantry Box came with so many items that I use frequently.  It comes with shelf stable cooked beans in vacuum sealed packages.  They have chick peas, lentils, kidney beans, and a six bean variety.  These taste great and are super easy.  The box also included some fresh steamed artichoke hearts and beats.  These are also shelf stable and a great addition to salads.

Allessimo Reality Puzzles Review and Discount

Do you have a child that loves puzzles?  I do.  Maybe you have a child that loves to create, and loves art?  My daughter absolutely loves art.  She loves everything about it.  She absolutely loves to paint and draw too.

What are Allessimo Puzzles?  They are 3 dimensional wooden puzzles.  These are not just a typical wooden puzzle.  Each puzzle comes with pre cut wooden sheets.  These sheets have all the pieces you need for your puzzle.  You simply pop these pieces out.  The kits come with a little piece of sand paper.  You then use this to smooth our any rough edges.  The instructions are quite detailed.  The instructions walk you through what pieces to use and how to put them together.  If you have a younger child an adult will need to assist them with this part.  The puzzle kit also comes with a paint pallet and paint brush.  You can then customize your 3D puzzle by painting it however you want.  This really was my daughter's favorite part.  

Our favorite puzzle was the butterfly.  This puzzle was easy to put together.  We love how it turned out, and my daughter and I had fun painting it together.  She sat and painted the butterfly for over an hour. I love how it turned our, and so does she!

Are you a huge Monster Jam fan?  My family loves Monster Jam.  We have gone to World Finals a number of times when it was here in Vegas.  We were so bummed when we heard it wouldn't be in Vegas anymore.   However, we were very excited to hear that the Monster Jam All Star Challenge soul now be in Las Vegas in October?  Did you go?

Our favorite Monster Jam event has always been the freestyle.  The All Star Challenge had an impressive freestyle event.  We saw these massive trucks jump with big air, do flips, and so much more.  The 24 trucks that were showcased kept us entertained and sitting on the edge of our seats.

I would recommend attending this event if you want to see some of the best drivers pull off some of the best tricks you've seen!

Monster Jam Las Vegas Review

Did you go to Monster Jam in Las Vegas in March?  What did you think?

This was a little bit different of an event than what has previously been in Vegas.  The nice thing is that tickets to regular Monster Jam events are cheaper than the World Finals.  It is much more affordable to attend if you have a family.

My tip is to purchase tickets early.  That is what we do.  You can even sign up for early ticket presales.  I suggest doing this if you want to buy tickets to the All Star Challenge in Vegas in October.  This will be a larger show than the one in March.

We enjoyed Monster Jam when we went in Las Vegas in March.  This was a smaller one night event compared to World Finals.  We got to see racing, freestyle, and 2 wheel skills.  My husband and I enjoyed the show along with our 12 and 14 year olds.  My mom attended with us too.  She liked it.  The show is full of excitement.  If you are a fan of monster trucks then I suggest you check it out.  It is action packed and noisy, but always so much fun.

Monster Jam Las Vegas 2019

Do you have tickets for Monster Jam in Las Vegas?  We are very excited to attend.  This is a sold out event.  We have attended the World Finals for the last 5 years.  I was initially bummed that it wouldn't be in Vegas this year.  I am happy that there are now 2 Monster Jam events in Vegas that we can go to.  The one on the 23rd of March is not as big as World Finals, but I am definitely excited to see this.  We checked out what trucks and drivers would be at the event on the 23rd prior to purchasing.  We were thrilled with the 10 that will be here.  We purchased are tickets early during the presale and were able to get reasonable tickets.  They are front row, and we are very excited about this.  I suggest purchasing during the presale events because this is a great way to get a hold of awesome tickets.  The Allstar Challenge will also be here in October.  I look forward to that.  This will be a new event for 2019.
