A great way to clean your jewelry!

I thought I would share with you a really easy jewelry cleaning tip.  I love that it uses items that pretty much everyone has in their house already too!  I haven't had much luck using store bought jewelry cleaners.  I like using dish soap diluted with water to clean my jewelry.  Take about 1 teaspoon dish soap and dilute it with 1/2 cup water.  Soak the jewelry you want to clean.  I leave it soaking for about 10 minutes.  I let my ring soak in a disposable plastic cup.  I then scrub it with an old toothbrush, rinse and shine it with a cloth.  It comes out really clean and shiny.  I find this works really good for gold jewelry.

  1. Thanks! I hate using those store bought cleaners because I don't think that they are very good for the environment!!

  2. This is a great tip and so inexpensive. Those store bought cleaners are junk. I like the soap idea. Mr. Clean also works well too if you have it laying around the house. My mom used to work at a jewelry store and she said that Mr. Clean is actually what they use, go figure!! Your idea is literally pennies on the dollar though. I need to try it!
