I love Mexican food and we eat it at least once a week. I will first start off by saying that I do not eat strictly vegan, but I'm always looking for ways to make traditional meals healthier. When I found out about Nacho Mom's Vegan Queso I really wanted to give it a try.
Nacho Mom's Vegan Queso is not your traditional Mexican cheese sauce. It is a vegan cheese style sauce. It's much better for you than your typical cheese sauce. It's not loaded with tons of fat and salt. It's a product I feel good about eating. I will say it doesn't taste exactly like cheese. Well because it's not. It has a good flavor though that I enjoyed. How did I use it? I topped nacho chips with beans and the Nacho Mom's Vegan Queso. I then topped it with some hot sauce. It was really good. It has chunks of tomatoes in it and it gives it a good flavor and texture. It also has a nice amount of spice to it that made it very flavorful.
Here is the best part. . . . . The entire jar of this is only 160 calories. It is also fat free. While it doesn't taste exactly like cheese to me it is an excellent substitute for calorie packed nacho cheese. I am always looking for tasty ways to lower calories and eat healthier. This is one great way to do it!
