French Twists from Barry's Bakery Review

I love desserts, but it can be really challenging to find a sweet treat that tastes great and isn't horribly bad for you.  The majority of the products I have tried like this aren't very good.  I found out about the French Twists from Barry's Bakery and was eager to try them.  They are low fat and low calories.  The best part is that they really do taste great.  You do not feel like you are being deprived at all by eating these.  I honestly wouldn't know they were so low in calories unless someone had told me.  Their delicious French Twists have even been featured in Weight Watchers Magazine!  

Barry's Bakery created the French Twist because they were in search of a snack food that tasted great, but was also suitable for people who are concerned about watching what they eat.  Barry created these after he suffered a heart attack at the age of 42.  He was in search of creating a great tasting treat that he was allowed to eat on his restricted diet.  He did a wonderful job creating these delicious French Twists!

So what is a French Twist?  It is layered puff pastry that has been sprinkled with sugar (from sugar beets).  They aren't overly sweet which I like.  The French Twists come in a variety of different flavors.  I loved the flavors I sampled and couldn't pick one favorite because they were all good.  We enjoyed sampling them all and sharing them with our friends and family.  Everyone couldn't believe that these were a low calorie, low sugar and low fat product!  They are super crispy, flaky and they just taste really great.  They are great for snacking, to eat with coffee or just if you feel like you want a little something sweet!
