I was really interested in trying Mara's Pasta when I found out about it because it's a unique kind of pasta. Mara's Pasta is a whole grain pasta that is grown for better taste and texture. The pasta contains quite a bit of protein and and fiber too. They spent years perfecting the wheat used in Mara's Pasta. The pasta itself is made by a family who has been in the business for over 100 years. Pretty neat!
Mara's Pasta comes in a variety of different shapes. The varieties all have the same whole wheat flavor. If you are looking for recipes and need some great ideas they have a whole recipe section available on their website. I can't wait to try some of them. The Four Cheese Baked Ziti Florentine sounds really delicious. This recipe includes Mara's Pasta, Italian Sausage, basil, spinach and some other tasty ingredients. This sounds like a great family meal.
I received a few varieties of Mara's Pasta to sample. I really liked that the Mara's Pasta cooked in only 7 minutes. It was quick and easy. I made the macaroni shaped noodles to use in a pasta salad. I chopped up some veggies, meat and cheese and tossed it with the macaroni from Mara's Pasta. I then tossed the pasta in a red wine vinaigrette. The Mara's Macaroni Pasta worked great for this dish. The pasta was tender and had a good flavor. The Mara's Pasta tasted really good and it is a product that I personally feel good about eating. What would you use Mara's Pasta for?
You can shop online for Mara's Pasta directly from their website too! They offer individual boxes of pasta or you can also purchase gift boxes as well.
