William Hill Estate Wines Review

I was recently given the opportunity to sample two wonderful wines from the William Hill Estate Winery.  The wines that I received are from their Napa Valley Collection.  I was very intrigued when I found out that this Chardonnay comes from some of the most prestigious Chardonnay vinyards.  The Cabernet also comes from Bordeaux vinyards in Napa that are also considered the finest.

About the winemaker :

William Hill Estate Winery is a wonderful winery that has a winemaker that is truly connected to the wines he makes.  Ralf Holdenried makes his wine that way.  He believes in tasting the barrels and he also believes in mixing them to create a wonderfully balanced wine.  He has been with William Hill Estate Winery since 2007.

I received a bottle of 2010 William Hill Estate Napa Valley Chardonnay.  This bottle was excellent.  It is a light and crisp wine.  It has a hint of apple in it.  This is a great wine to drink for Summer.  We sampled this wine and paired it with some fruit and cheese and it was perfect.  I would definitely purchase this Chardonnay.  You can purchase your own bottle of 2010 William Hill Estate Napa Valley Chardonnay for about $25.

I also received a bottle of 2008 William Hill Estate Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.  This bottle was also very good.  This is a full bodied red wine.  It has tremendous flavor.  We found it to be very smooth.  We paired it with red meat and it was perfect with it.  This wine also has some fruity flavors in it.  It has some hints of cherry and blueberry.  If you want to purchase your own bottle of 2008 William Hill Estate Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon it retails for about $35.  What would you want to pair this wine with?
