Appletters and PairsinPears Review

We love learning games!  They are great for family game night.  I am all for anything that makes learning fun! Bananagrams offers a great selection of great games that incorporate great ways to teach your child.  The games they offer are not only educational, but they are fun.  They offer a variety of games that are great for older toddlers all the way up to adults.  These games are not just for kids.  They are great for the entire family.

PairsinPears is a game geared towards ages 3 and up.  I like that there are a variety of different ways that this game can be played.  You can change it around depending on your child's ability.  This game was excellent for my daughter who is 6.  We used it to work on her weekly sight words she has to study for school.  This game is also great for teaching word families.  Right now I am working with my daughter on long vowel sounds, so we used it for this.  PairsinPears comes with alphabet tiles with different patterns on the tiles.  This game can be used for so many things from letter recognition to pattern recognition.

Appletters is a great game for ages 5 and up.  This game was great for my 8 year old.  The object of this game is to make a word worm.  You have to use the lettered tiles you have to make words and add onto the existing words.  Appletters is a little more advanced than PairsinPears and is great for older elementary students.  However, my 6 year old can play it with some assistance from an adult.  My kids and I enjoyed this game and it's great to get them thinking about how words are spelled!

These are just 2 of the fun games available from Bananagrams.  You can learn more about all of the games they offer by visiting their website.  You can also connect with Bananagrams on Facebook and Twitter.
