Curiosity Kits Lava Rock Volcano Review

Curiosity Kits are a great way to get your kid excited about crafts and learning.  They offer a variety of products including science fun kits, room decor, cardboard adventures and more.  I love that all of these kits are something fun to make, but something you get to use afterwards.

I received a Lava Rock Volcano kit.  This kit is great for children 6 and up.  You could do this with a younger child too, but they would need more parent assistance.  The Lava Rock Volcano Kit comes with the volcano base.  My children enjoyed putting this together, casting it and painting it.

Then when you are all done with making your volcano you are ready to make it erupt!  I suggest taking this outdoors somewhere.  We have an old table we set it on during this process.  I love that everything in this kit is safe for children to touch too.  There are no harmful chemicals to create the eruption.  You use the baking soda provided in the kit and food coloring.  The only thing you have to use that is not including in the kit is vinegar.  Once you add the vinegar to the squeeze bottle and squeeze it through the tube the volcano erupts. This is so  neat to watch.  My kids loved it.

The best part about the Lava Rock Volcano kit is that is can be used over and over again.  You can simply just add your own baking soda, red dye and vinegar to make it erupt.  This kit retails for $19.99.  You can learn more about all of these Curiosity Kits by visiting their website.  You can also connect with them on Facebook and Twitter.
