New Releases from Ghost Pines Vineyards

I have been a fan of Ghost Pines wines for some time now.  I was really excited to try some new release wines that they came out with.  Ghost Pines offers a variety of great wines.  They offer Merlot, Cabernet, Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and a Red Blend.  They are a California winery.  They do something pretty neat and they use grapes from different regions in California.  Their goal is to find the best grapes and use those in their wines.

Ghost Pines 2010 Merlot.  This is a full bodied and full flavored wed wine.  It is great with red meat or tomato based dishes.  The grapes come from Napa and Sonoma to create this wine.  This merlot is excellent.  It does need to breath before you drink it though.  I personally suggest opening it and letting it breath for about an hour prior to drinking.  It has a bold and robust flavor.

Ghost Pines 2010 Cabernet is also an excellent dry red wine.  I also suggest letting this bottle breath before opening it too.  The Ghost Pines 2010 Cabernet is full bodied and full of flavor.  This is also a great wine to pair with red meat.  This wine contains grapes from both Sonoma and Napa.  We enjoyed this bottle on my birthday with steak and it was excellent.  It almost has a peppery flavor.

You can learn more about the Ghost Pines wines by visiting their website.  You can also connect with Ghost Pines on Facebook too.
