We use tortillas quite a bit in our house. We not only use them for burritos and tacos though. They can be used for wraps and all sorts of meals. I like to use them to lighten up my meals in the warmer months. I like that tortillas tend to be a little lighter than regular bread. What do you use tortillas for in your house?
La Tortilla Factory has some of the best tortillas and wraps I have ever had. They are made with quality ingredients and you really can tell because they taste great. I previously reviewed their light flour tortillas and loved them. This time I received some of their corn tortillas and soft mini wraps. I couldn't wait to get started making healthy meals with these.
These are some of the best corn tortillas that I have ever had. They have a very nice chewy texture and it is different than a typical dry corn tortilla. These are soft even when they are not heated. They are great for tacos, but also just snacking on. I am often looking for ways to lighten up regular dishes that can be high calorie dishes. I love salsa and tortilla chips. It just kills me with how many calories are in the chips. I took the La Tortilla Factory Corn Tortillas and cut them into chip size pieces. I brushed both sides with cooking oil very lightly and sprinkled them with salt. I then baked them at 400 degrees until they were crispy. These made the best baked tortilla chips. They were super flavorful because I used both the white corn tortillas, but also the green chili corn tortillas. These chips were perfect for dipping in healthy salsa too!
These are a mini size wrap that is perfect for a small meal or snack. They are perfect for kids too. These wraps are soft and tender. They come in great flavors too. I tried the white whole wheat variety and the fiesta variety. I love that they are low in calories, fat, but full of fiber. I knew I wanted to make with these as soon as I saw them. I decided to make a breakfast wrap with them and they were very good. I used the white whole wheat variety for my kids and they enjoyed them. I used the fiesta variety for my husband and I and we enjoyed the nice spice mixture these have in them. What type of wrap would you make with these?
