Naturipe Farms Strawberries Review - Recipe and a Contest!

Disclosure - free sample provided

My kids absolutely love fresh strawberries in Summer!  They will eat an entire package at one sitting if I don't watch them.  Naturipe offers beautiful, fresh, and delicious berries that are some of the best I have had.  What is your favorite way to eat strawberries.  My kids love them just as they are, but I like to try new things with them and incorporate them in recipes.

Do you have a unique and interesting strawberry recipe?  If you submit your recipe to Naturripe you will be entered to win 3 months of house cleaning.  This is a $500 value.  Winners will also be chosen weekly and will be awarded with $50.  The contest ends on June 20th, so make sure your entries are in!  Recipes will be voted on starting the 21st of June.  Please visit the Natureripe website here to enter your recipe.  You can also see the complete details of the contest as well.

I wanted to try out a unique recipe of my own using Naturripe Strawberries.  I put a twist on a traditional favorite.  I made Balsamic Glazed Strawberry Shortcake.  This is a simple and easy variation of your typical strawberry shortcake.

Balsamic Glaze Strawberry Shortcake Recipe - makes 8 servings

16 oz. of Naturipe Strawberries
1 can of whipped cream
8 strawberry shortcake cups
balsamic vinegar

Slice the strawberries and drizzle with balsamic vinegar lightly.  Toss and set aside.  Top the shortcake cups with the balsamic glazed strawberries and whipped cream.

This is just one simple and delicious way to enjoy Naturipe Strawberries.  You can learn more about their berries by visiting their website.  You can also connect with them on Facebook and Twitter.
