I want to introduce you to a Improv Electronics. They offer a selection of LCD writing tablets. The Boogie Board Tablet is an alternative to writing on paper. These are for adults to use to write lists or important notes on. They are great for young children to work on practicing their numbers and letters. What would you use a Boogie Board tablet for?
I have come up with so many great uses for the Boogie Board Tablet after reviewing these. They are great to stick to your fridge and use to keep a grocery list. They are great for students to jot down notes. My 6 and 8 year old love to doodle and draw on these. We are going to use these to practice spelling words next year. I give my kids a number of practice spelling tests until they are proficient in their words. This will be a great alternative to using paper. I can see using this to have my son practice his math facts and cursive writing too.
These are great for travelling too. My kids are always bored when we are in the car travelling. Do your kids ask you 500 times "are we there yet?" The Boogie Board Tablet is a great way to keep them busy. I can see my 6 and 8 year old using these to play tic tac toe in the car. My kids also have a hard time sitting for the duration of the meal in a restaurant. I plan on having them bring their Boogie Board Tablet to keep them busy.
Boogie Board offers a few varieties when it comes to their LCD writing tablets. The Boogie Board 8.5 LCD Writing Tablet is a good choice if you have children. This tablet works by simply using the stylus to write on the durable screen. My kids are rough on things and this looks like it will be able to hold up to them using it a lot. This version comes with a stylus, stylus clip, magnets and cleaning cloth. It is easy for little hands to use too. My 6 year old was able to figure it out in minutes. So what do you do when you want to erase what you have written on the screen? You simply push the erase button at the top of the screen.
The Boogie Board 8.5 JOT is another LCD eWriter that is available. This version works pretty much the same way that the Boogie Board 8.5 does. However, it has magnets that are build into the back of it. It also has a place that stores the stylus at the top. There is also a feature on this one that allows you to lock the tablet. That means that whatever is written on the tablet can't be erased by pushing the erase button. This is great if you have something important written down that you don't want to forget.
Both of these Boogie Board Writing Tablets are great alternatives to writing on paper. You save paper by using these too. I was truly impressed with how easy it was and smooth it was to write on the screen. These are something that we are going to get a lot of use out of.
Keep an eye out for more versions of the Boogie Board Tablet that will be available around the holidays this year. These are going to be called the Boogie Board SYNC 9.7 and the JOT 4.5.
