The Boxcar Children Graphic Novels Review

Disclosure - free sample  provided.

My son is 8 and he loves to read.  I have noticed  he is really into graphic novels lately.  I  have found that because there are some great pictures in these that he loves them.  They tend to hold his interest and he will usually sit and read an entire one in just one sitting.  I want to introduce you to the Boxcar Children Graphic Novels.  These are based off the the Boxcar Children Books that many of us are familiar with.  I was really excited when I found out that they turned these into graphic novels.

My son received a large selection of the Boxcar Children Graphic Novels.  He took to them immediately and loves reading them.  They are great for children that are in about 2nd grade and up.  They are a great read because they are perfect for daily reading.  My son can finish one in a sitting.  He really enjoys the great pictures too that are in these books.  They are really nice and colorful.  The pictures truly help bring the stories to life.  I have read a few of them myself too and they are great.

Does your child love the Boxcar Children Books?  These are also great!  The stories in the graphic novels are mysteries.  My 8 year old enjoys these.  We have been working on his reading comprehension, so we talk about what  happens in them when he is done.  He said he really enjoys following the stories about Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny.  You might not be familiar with the Boxcar Children, so I will give you a little background.  The 4 children have found themselves out on their own.  They find a red boxcar to stay in as their home.  This is where the Boxcar Children begin.  The graphic novels follow their adventures and continue on from their.

There are currently 18 Boxcar Children Graphic Novels available from Gertrude Chandler Warner.  These truly are a great read for children that love pictures that have been incorporated into their reading.  They are very well written and they make reading fun!  You can learn more about these or order them by visiting the Boxcar Children website.  They retail for about $6.99 each.

You can also connect with the Boxcar Children on Facebook and Twitter.

  1. The Boxcar Children was one of my favorites books when I was young. I suggested to both of my daughters that they should read it...and they both loved it.
