Melissa's Produce - Get Ready For Hatch Chili Season

Disclosure - free sample provided.

I first want to say that I love chili peppers.  I am a spicy food fanatic!  Last year I received some delicious fresh hatch chili peppers from Melissa's to review.  I was in complete heaven.  They come in mild and hot  varieties.  These amazing peppers are flavorful and are great in so many dishes.  Melissa's Hatch chili peppers are fresh and perfect for so many Mexican inspired dishes.

This year I received a variety a Hatch Chilr Cookbook from Melissa's Produce.  This book is perfect for recipes that can help you create dishes with hatch chili peppers.  The dishes include a variety of ways to cook your hatch peppers.  They have appetizers, main dishes and more!  I am in love with this cookbook.  I plan to pick up some hatch chilis soon and try out these recipes.  Some of the recipes include . . .

Hatch Chile Salad Dressing

Hatch Chile Mayonnaise

Sloppy Joes

Hatch Chile Guacamole

Hatch Chile Summer Salad

and many more!

I also received some dried hatch chili powder.  I love incorporating chili powder into my Mexican inspired dished.  The powdered chili powder comes in a hot and mild variety.  I love the hot variety to add a ton of spice to dishes.  The mild variety adds a little zip, but lots of flavor.  The powdered hatch chili is great in Texas style chili, bbq rubs, bbq sauces and much more.  I like to use it in my homemade taco seasoning too.  What would you add it to?

I also received some of Melissa's Grinders.  These are amazing little bottles of spice that you can grind right into your recipe or on top of your food.  The grinders come in a variety of flavors too.  I received an Organic Italian Seasoning Grinder, an Organic Garlic & Herb Sea Salt Grinder, and an Organic Rainbow Pepprtcorn Grinder.  We love them all.  I keep them on the table, so that we can add flavor and spice to our meals as we want.  My kids have recently fallen in love with pepper.  They love that they can use these and twist the top to add a little spice to their food.

Are you ready for Hatch Chile Season?  I can't wait!  You can visit Melissa's website to find out more about their delicious hatch peppers and their other products.  You can also connect with them on Facebook and Twitter too!
