William Hill Estate Winery Review

Disclosure - free sample provided.

William Hill Estate Winery is located in Napa Valley.  The winery is tucked away in the southern area of Napa.  It is a little more off the beaten path too.  This is a 140 acre estate.  They are known for their luxury wines like their Chardonnay and their Bordeaux.  They are said to offer "elegant" wines too.

2010 Napa Valley Merlot
This is one of the best Merlot wines that I have had.  It is smooth and full of flavor.  It is a great wine to pair with Italian dishes.  I love it with pasta with red sauce.  It is said to have flavors from plum and red cherry.  It has just a hint of spiciness.  This wine comes from grapes that are solely from the William Hill Estate.  The grapes are 100% Merlot grapes too.  This bottle retails for about $30.

2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
This is an excellent Cabernet.  I personally let this bottle breath for about 20 minutes prior to drinking it and it was great.  The wine is made with 92% Cabernet grapes, 5% Petit Verdot, 2% Petit Sirah and 1% Merlot grapes.  This is a very rich red wine.  It has flavors of blueberry, cherry and it finishes with a bit of spice.  This bottle retails for about $40.
