O.M.G. - Oh My Godmother - Children's Book Review

Disclosure - free sample provided.

My daughter is 7 and she is at the point where she is almost reading longer books independently.  My challenge, is to find books that engage her and make her want to sit down and just read.  My now 9 year old, was the same way.  I want to introduce you to a book called O.M.G. - Oh My Godmother - The Magic Mistake.  This book is something that my daughter truly loved.

O.M.G. - Oh My Godmother - The Magic Mistake is a book geared towards children ages 9 to 12.  It is a book that is great for girls!  The book became available on February 4th.  It retails for $16.99.  The book was written by Barbara Brauner and James Iver Mattson.  The story truly captured my daughter's attention and she wanted to read more!  That is always a sign, to me, that the book is good!  My 7 year old was not able to read it completely on her own, but she enjoyed having me help her read it.  We both enjoyed taking turns reading this fun story.

The book is a fun story.  It is unique because the story focuses on the main character, Lacey.  She is a 12 year old fairy godmother.  The main character is easy for children to relate to.  I think that is important.  The story follows Lacey as she attends the Godmother Academy.  Lacey knows that she has to attend in order to take the "magical test."

The book not only has a fun story, but has illustrations too.  The book is illustrated by Abigail Halpin.  I think that the combination of the illustrations and the story makes the reading even more fun.

  1. This looks like a cute story for children. It is never to early to get kids interested in reading and enjoying story time.
