Arla Dofino Cheese Giveaway 5/30 CLOSED

Disclosure - free sample provided.

My husband and I love to eat cheese in the evening with cracker, and cut up fruit.  We also love to use cheese in our cooking.  Do you have a favorite kind of cheese?  I want to introduce you to Arla Dofino.  They offer a great selection of cheeses.  They are all natural cheese and they are made with quality ingredients.  Their cheese is hand crafted and made without hormones.  They offer a large selection of cheeses.  They offer fontina, gouda, edam, and more.  Which variety would you want to try?

Dill Havarti

Gouda and Fontina

 Turkey Sub with Dill Havarti

I picked up some of the Arla Dofino cheese as my grocery store.  My husband and I sampled it on crackers and found that it was amazing.  We tried the fontina.  This is a flavorful Italian style cheese.  However, this is the Danish variety.  It is a semi-soft cheese.  We also tried the gouda.  I am a huge fan of gouda, and this one impressed me.  This has a creamy texture, but it is a hard cheese.  It would be perfect melted on a sandwich, but it is excellent eaten as is too!  Lastly, Arla Dofino's dill havarti is now a favorite of mine.  I was using it on sandwiches sliced.  It has a nice zip to it and the dill is perfect in it.

Here is my own simple recipe I created with Arla Dofino Fontina. . .

Tomato and Melty Fontina Bagels

Slice Arla Dofino Fontina.  Place it on top of a lightly toasted bagel.  Top it with sliced tomato, a sprinkle of dried basil, and red pepper flakes.  Broil until the cheese is bubbly.  Enjoy!

Arla Dofino has provided me with the recipe below to share too!  Yum!

Havarti and Pear Grilled Cheese

2 slices sourdough bread
1  tablespoons unsalted butter, softened and divided
2 ounces Arla Dofino Creamy Havarti cheese
1 ripe pear, cored and thinly sliced

Directions
1. Place two slices of bread side-by-side and spread the top of one with 1/2 tablespoon of butter. On the second slice, layer Arla Dofino Creamy Havarti cheese, followed by the thinly sliced pear. Close the sandwich with the buttered bread slice, butter side up.

2. Add the remaining butter in a nonstick skillet and place over medium heat. Swirl the butter so it coats the bottom of the pan. Place sandwich inskillet, with non-buttered bread side down and cook until the bread is toasted and golden brown, about 4 to 5 minutes. Flip the sandwich and cook the other side for an additional 3 to 4 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the skillet, slice and serve.

  1. I like that Arla is a cooperative company. They help farmers receive the highest possible milk price. They work to grow their business in a sustainable manner.
I'd like to try all of their cheese. :) My favorite way to eat cheese is to cut it up and eat it plain. I don't like it melted on anything.
