Edna Valley Vineyard Wines - Review

Disclosure - free sample provided.

I always get so excited to try new wines, but honestly the Vineyard I am going to tell you about is special.  Edna Valley Vineyard is located in the San Luis Obispo area.  This is an amazing area if you have never been.  It was a favorite of my family's as a child to vacation.  High quality grapes grew in this region in the 1800's, but disappeared.  Edna Valley Vineyard started growing grapes again in this wonderful region in the 1970's.  They now use these grapes to create this impressive wines.

Edna Valley 2013 Sauvignon Blanc
If you are a white wine lover, then this is a wine for you!  This is a dry and crisp white.  The wine is said to have citrus flavors.  The grapes come from the SLO and Monterrey region.  The wine is made with Sauvignon Blanc grapes.  It retails for about $15 a bottle.

Edna Valley 2012 Pinot Noir
I am a huge Pinot Noir fan, and the Edna Valley 2012 is amazing.  This is a dry red wine that is loaded with flavor.  It is a smooth red that is said to have flavors of cola, black cherry, and more.  This wine is made with Pinot Noir grapes from the Central Coast region.  This bottle retails for about $20 a bottle.  It really is worth the price.  It is one of  my favorite Pinot's.

Edna Valley 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon
Do you love a really rich and flavorful Cab?  Edna Valley's 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent choice.  This Cab I found to be easy to drink and not as intense as some.  It is a blend of Cabernet grapes, and Petite Sirah.  The majority of the grapes used to create this wine come from the Paso Robles area.  This unique cab is said to have flavors of leather, anise, cocoa powder, and more.  This bottle retails for about $15.
