Idahoan Mashed Potatoes Review and Giveaway 12/15 CLOSED

Disclosure - free sample provided.

My family loves mashed potatoes.  Honestly, they can be some work to make from scratch though.  I don't always have the time to make mashed potatoes from scratch.  Idahoan offers a large variety of instant mashed potato products.  These are quick, easy to make, and they taste great.  My family loves them too!  Idahoan has been making their products for over 50 years.  I was really impressed.

We received a variety of samples of Idahoan Mashed Potatoes.  I received samples of their four cheese, baby reds, roasted garlic, buttery homestyle, and loaded baked mashed potatoes.  I really enjoyed all of these.  I can't pick a favorite because they are all excellent.  These came in convenient 4 serving packages.  They are so easy to make too!  They are so fast!  It really is nice to have a side dish that is tasty, but ready in around 5 minutes or less.

I was so excited to see that these tasty Idahoan Mashed Potatoes can also be used in a variety of fun recipes.  The Idahoan website has a huge recipe index.  I love that they offer appetizers, main dishes, soups, and more.  Many of these recipes are not just a basic mashed potato.  They use the Idahoan Mashed Potatoes in them to create a fabulous dish.  I chose to make the recipe they have on their website for Mrs. Prophet's Roasted Garlic French Bread.  It is so easy to make.  My kids love garlic bread.  They gobbled this garlic bread up.  The garlic bread can be cooked under the broiler or on the grill.  The bread had a buttery garlic topping that was so flavorful.  I like that this recipe can be cut in half easily too.

You can view Mrs. Prophet's Roasted Garlic French Bread recipe below.  You can also visit their website to find more great recipes.

Roasted Garlic French Bread

  2. Slice the French bread length wise and generously spread with the roasted garlic mixture.
  3. Toast under the broiler until butter spread is melted and toasted on top.
Great on the grill:
  1. Spread a small amount of the butter mixture on each slice of the French bread.
  2. Place face down on the grill until grill marks appear.
  3. Turn over and move to the indirect heat side of the grill and spread generously with more of the butter mixture.
