I love giving books as holiday gifts.  I love when my kids receive a gift that is something other than a toy.  Scholastic offers a great selection of books that make great gifts for the holidays.  They also make great stocking stuffers.  Scholastic has books for all ages, and all reading levels.  This makes it easy to find the perfect book for any child.  I received a selection of books from Scholastic that would make excellent holiday gifts.

Bone Collection - Skulls
My son that is 9 fell in love with this book.  It is a book all about bones and skulls.  The book features a variety of pictures of different animal skulls.  My son really enjoyed all of the great photos, and the information in this book.  This is perfect for the child that is interested in animals and science.  The book gives details on the animal's skull.  It is very informative, and a great book to have in your collection.  The book retails for $14.99.

Rainbow Magic
These are always a big hit with my 7 year old daughter.  The Rainbow Magic books are one of her favorite to read.  The Ultimate Fairy Guide is perfect for any child that is a huge fan of the Rainbow Magic books.  This book features all 150 fairies.  It tells you a little bit about each fairy.  The book contains loads of colorful pictures, and it is beautifully illustrated.  Natalie the Christmas Stocking Fairy is a special edition Rainbow Magic book.  This is a wonderful read for the holidays.  This book features the Christmas Stocking Fairy.  The story is about Jack Frost trying to ruin Christmas because he never receives anything in his stocking.

The Book of Bad Things
This book is written by Dan Poblocki.  He is also the author of the book "The Ghost of Graylock."  This book is a novel that is written for a more advanced reader.  This young adult book is all about Zombies, Curses, Hauntings, and Ghosts.  The book is a story about Cassidy and how her and her riends discover that there are many bad things in the world that they never even knew existed.

These are just some of the great books that Scholastic has to offer.  You can visit their website to learn more about their books, or to shop for that perfect holiday gift.
