Devo Olive Oil Co. Review

I recently tried Devo Olive Oil's Chilean Picual Extra Virgin Olive Oil.  I love using olive oil in a variety of dishes and Devo Olive Oil is excellent.  They offer a wide variety of olive oils and balsamic vinegars.  I love using a good olive oil like Devo's Chilean Picual on fresh bread instead of butter.  We used it last night that way and it was great!  I also experimented with a recipe of my own today and thought I would share it with you.  My family loves pita bread and they also love garlic bread, so I combined them.



Crispy Garlic Parmesan Pita Bread

Ingredients -

4 pieces of pita bread
Herbs of choice - parsley, basil, rosemary - or whatever you want
Devo Olive Oil
Parmesan Cheese - grated
1 clove garlic

Take your 4 pieces of pita bread and place them on a cookie sheet.  Brush lightly with Devo Olive Oil (of your choice).  Crush a clove of garlic and sprinkle on the 4 pitas.  Sprinkle with herbs of your choice.  I used parsley.  Top with a little sprinkle of parmesan cheese.  Place under the broiler for about 4 minutes or until browned.  Slice into triangles and serve warm.



This was excellent with the Chilean Picual EVOO from Devo Olive Oil.  You can find all the varieties of Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars that Devo carries on their website.
