Don Miguel Gascon Wine Review

I am always looking for great wines to try.  I found out about Don Miguel Gascon wines and was really interested in trying them.  I have heard great things about Argentinian wines and have always wanted to sample them.

Gascon offers a variety of wines that come from Argentina.  The wine is rich in culture and it has been around since 1884.  Pretty neat!  I was impressed to learn that the winery is still where it was 125 years ago.  They however have updated their facility since then to make it more modern.

So what kind of wine does Gascon offer?  They produce a wine that is called a Malbec.  It is said to be a dark, rich and robust red wine.

What would you pair this with?  I would suggest grilled meats - beef, lamb or it would be great with any tomato sauce based meal.  We personally tried both the Red Blend and the Malbec from Gascon with bbq'd steak and it was excellent.  Both the Malbec and Red Blend are smooth and flavorful.

Don Miguel Gascon Red Blend . . . .
This is a newly released wine.  It is a wonderful blend of grapes that includes - Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Bonarda.  The blend was excellent and I found it to be very rich tasting.  It is said to also have hints of fruitiness to it.  This is a wine that was aged for 15 months.

Don Miguel Gascon Malbec . . . .
I found this to be a rich wine with great flavors.  I noticed a fruity undertone in this wine.  It is said to have a hint of spice in it.  This wine has a wonderfully rich color too.  This is a bold red wine that I was really impressed by.

If you are interested in trying Gascon wines you can visit their website to find out where to purchase these near you.  You can also purchase them online.  They both retail for about $15.  They would make an excellent gift for the holidays for any wine lover.  They would also be a wonderful wine to bring to any holiday gathering.
