Gallo Signature Series Review

Gallo Signature Series offers amazing wines.  I just want to say that I truly was impressed with the 3 that I received.  Their wines are unique and honor Julio Gallo.  The wines from the Gallo Signature series are made by a 3rd generation winemaker.  Gina Gallo has a wonderful passion for the wines she creates.  These wines are said to be inspired by the waterways near the vineyards too!

2011 Russian River Valley Chardonnay
This is a crisp light white wine.  It has a hint of sweetness to it.  I found it a little sweeter than most Chardonnay wines.  It is a wonderful wine for the Spring and Summer.  It is very refreshing.  It is said to have a fruitiness to it.  Some say the flavors taste like fresh apple, lemon meringue, and ginger.  Most of the grapes from this wine come from the Laguna Ranch.  This wine can retails for about $30 a bottle.

2011 Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir
This is a wonderful dry red.  I love that it is not super rich and intense.  I find this to be a very easy bottle to drink.  It has a wonderful flavor and it is very smooth.  This wine is said to have fruity flavors from cherry, lavender, pomegranate, and boysenberry.  It is a full flavored bottle.  The grapes from this wine come from the Olsen Ranch.  This bottle retails for about $40.

2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
This variety was honestly my favorite.  This is one of my favorite Cabernet's that I've had.  It is rich and full of flavor, but it's very smooth.  This is a very dry red wine.  It is full of bold flavors.  It is said to have hints of flavor from cherry, chocolate, and cassis.  The grapes for this wine come from the William Hill Estate.  This is a very impressive bottle of wine and it retails for about $40.
