Elmer's CheeWees Review and Giveaway 2/6 CLOSED

I am always on the hunt for great snack foods.  That is exactly what I found when I tasted Elmer's CheeWees.  Elmer's is a family owned business out of New Orleans.  They have been around since the early 1900's!  The CheeWees were created by five brothers.  What exactly are CheeWees?  They are a crunchy and delicious cheese curl.  The Elmer's CheeWees plant was destroyed in hurricane Katrina, but was rebuilt.  They reopened in 2007 and have been selling these wonderful cheesy snacks again.

Elmer's CheeWees are a baked cheese curl.  They are a corn snack that has 1/3 less fat than your typical fried cheese curl.  I would never know that they were lower fat by the taste though.  Elmer's CheeWees are not just offered in one flavor though.  They offer a variety that includes original, bbq, green onion, hot and spicy, and jalepeno.  They are all excellent.  My favorite is the jalepeno CheeWees.  They have a great cheesy flavor, but also a nice amount of spice from the jalepeno.  What flavor would you want to try?

Elmer's also offers popcorn.  My kids loved this and inhaled it!  Their cheese popcorn is some of the best that I have had.  It has a great cheesy flavor.  They also offer caramel corn.  Their caramel corn is a wonderful treat.  It's made with real caramel too!
