Submarines, Secrets and a Daring Rescue - Book Review

I am always looking for new books for my 8 and 10 year old to read that hold their attention.  We recently received a copy of Submarines, Secrets, and a Daring Rescue.  This is a book by Robert J. Skeed and Robert A. Skeed.  It is from the American Revolutionary War Adventures series of books.  This is a great book if your child is learning about history too.  

This is a novel for children that is about two twins.  They are 15 years old.  Ambrose and John are on a mission to bring gunpowder to the patriots.  My 10 year old fell in love with this story.  Then they end up in a bad situation.  They find themselves manning one of the first submarines.  My son thought this was really neat!  The book teaches about American history, but it also does a great job of making it fun to learn.  

The book also features a glossary in the end.  This is really great to use to learn more about different terms from the book.  These would make excellent vocabulary and spelling words if you are homeschooling your child.
