Beemster Premium Dutch Cheese Review and Giveaway 4/14 CLOSED

I love cheese.  I am always looking for great cheese to try.  My husband and I love good cheese for an appetizer or dessert with bread, crackers and fruit.  I was really excited to try the variety of dutch cheese that was sent to me from Beemster.

Beemster makes a really nice selection of dutch cheese.  The cheese they make originated in North Holland and it is the most well known cheese from the Netherlands.  Their cheese is always all natural.  The recipes they use have been used for a very long time.

I received 4 types of Beemster cheese.  I couldn't decide which one to try first - the X-O, Classic, Vlaskaas, and Mustard Beemster.  They are all delicious!  Our favorites were the X-O and the Mustard Beemster.  All of the varieties were really good.  Beemster makes wonderful cheese that is made with quality ingredients.

The X-O - is a really good aged cheese.  The X-O has a wonderful aged flavor.  I personally thought it was perfect.  This variety is aged a minimum of 26 months.  It has an almost nutty flavor too.  I found this variety of Beemster to be a bit firmer of a cheese.  This is a great cheese to eat with bread or crackers.  It's also really good with a glass of wine.

The Classic Beemster - This cheese is matured for at least 18 months.  We really enjoyed the Classic Beemster too.  It has a wonderful flavor.  Beemster suggests eating it with Dark Rye Bread, Black Prunes, Dates or even other cheeses.

The Beemster Vlaskaas - This cheese is known for being creamy and sweet.  This variety is milder.  My kids liked this one too!  This cheese has won awards around the world.

Mustard Beemster - This is one of our favorites.  It is creamy.  I love that you can see real mustard seeds in it.  It's got a nice amount of tang to it from the mustard, but not too much.  I put some on a hamburger and loved it this way.  It is a very unique cheese and I've never had anything like it.  It's amazing!

We truly enjoyed all of the varieties that Beemster sent us to sample.  Beemster is going to send one of my readers a cheese prize pack too!  If you want to purchase your own Beemster you can use their product locator to find out where you can get it.

Disclosure - I received a free sample to facilitate my review.  No monetary compensation was provided.  All opinions are completely my own.   I am disclosing in accordance with FTC 16 CFR Part 255.
