Edna Valley Vineyard 2011 Savignon Blanc Review

Edna Valley Vinyard is located in San Luis Obispo area.  This is an amazing area in California if you aren't familiar with the area.  This is in between L.A. and San Fran.  This is a familiar place for me as we used to go vacation in SLO when I was a kid.

Josh Baker is the Winemaker at Edna Valley Vinyards.  He has been doing this for almost 10 years now.  I would say he is doing an excellent job after sampling the wine too!  He began as a microbiologist for Gallo.  Pretty neat!

Edna Valley Vinyard offers the following varieties of wine . . . . .

Merlot

Sauvignon Blanc

Pinot Noir

Chardonnay

and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Edna Valley's 2011 Savignon Blanc is a great crisp wine.  It's a white whine that has hints of citrus in it.  This is an interesting wine because it's a blend of more than one grape.  Edna Valley Vineyard has been creating a smooth wine that is easy to drink.  It's a great white wine that has some oak aging.  This adds some great flavor.  What would you pair this with?  The wine is very reasonable at about $15 a bottle.  This is a great wine to serve to guest this holiday season too while entertaining.

If you are interested in the Edna Valley Vineyard wines make sure you check out their website.  I was really intrigued by their Wine Club.  This allows you to save on the shipment of your wine.    You can also connect with Edna Valley Vineyard's on Facebook to learn more!
